My name is Helen and I am an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in Bloomsbury, London, WC1B. I also provide online CBT via Skype and video link.
I am currently working in an NHS primary psychotherapy service that offers treatment to people with common mental health difficulties. Over the last seven years, I have worked with individuals with moderate to severe Depression and Anxiety and Personality Disorders. I have worked in a variety of different psychological services in the National Health Service and well-known charity organisations.
I treat adults with a wide range of mood and anxiety disorders and every day psychological issues, including; Mild, moderate, severe and recurring Depression, Anxiety (Panic, Generalised Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Specific Phobias), OCD, PTSD, Stress, Bereavement, Self-Esteem and Chronic Pain.
I have a specialist interest in working with self-esteem difficulties and traumatic experiences. I am also interested in working with diverse cultural communities and understand how social constructs shape one’s own beliefs and relationship patterns.
I work in a personal-centred way which is tailored to the needs of the individual. My focus is to build a therapeutic relationship based on acceptance, unconditional respect and positive change. I am warm-natured person and I have passion for the work I do. I am genuinely interested in listening to you and working together towards reaching your goals.
I abide by the professional and ethical standards laid down by the BABCP and BPS and I have full professional indemnity and current DBS clearance.
