I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and am fully accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) since 2013.
I have worked in the NHS since 2010 working in adult mental health services. I continue to work in the NHS where I have managed teams delivering short to medium term CBT. I have recently completed my EMDR qualification. I only work with adult client groups at this time. My areas of interest in working with clients are in the areas of; OCD, trauma, panic, generalized anxiety, phobias, depression, stress management and low self esteem.
I am flexible in my approach and enjoy finding ways in which the CBT tools and techniques can be adapted to fit in with your lifestyle. I work collaboratively and tailor sessions to each individual’s needs and presenting features. CBT offers insight into your current difficulties, factors maintaining these difficulties and considering practical solutions that may help in your day to day life. I enjoy seeing the difference that CBT can make to clients and can adapt sessions in order to help you get the best out of them. I can offer evening appointments to fit in with your life and other commitments.
Outside of my professional interests I like spending time with friends, swimming, reading and spending time with my young family.
