This questionnaire can be used up to eight weeks after the birth of the baby to screen for possible post-natal depression. Some evidence suggests that the questionnaire can also be used to screen for anti-natal depression for scores of 15 or more. The questionnaire is not a diagnostic tool and should always be used in conjunction with a full psychological assessment.
